Bank Nizwa, the first Islamic bank in Oman has sponsored the launch of the new banking magazine Al Masaref in Oman.
Business leaders from across the sultanate gather at the Grand Hyatt Hotel, Muscat for the launch of the magazine, including guest of honour, HE Yahya al Jabri , chairman of SEZ Authority of Duqm.
The event included an exhibition on Islamic finance, which provided information on the products and services from Bank Nizwa aimed to enrich the economic debate on the Islamic finance industry in the region.
As part of the magazine’s launch, leading figures from the financial industry, including Bank Nizwa CEO, Dr. Jamil el Jaroudi, participated in a panel discussion which explored ‘The new strategic direction for banks in Oman.’
Offering his expertise as part of the panel discussion on the future, challenges and training development in the Islamic finance sector, Dr Jamil reiterated that the bank is excited to partner with this Al Masaref with the combination of interviews and articles from business leaders, entrepreneurs and bankers in the sultanate represent a real breakthrough for the financial industry.
Bank Nizwa is focused on bringing a clearer understanding of Islamic finance to the public and our involvement in this event is a clear example of that mission.
Al Masaref is confident of an engaged reader base as the appetite for information on financial matters is greater than ever.
